THE RESENTLY PHONE AND LAPTOP THIEVES

"Finally, no one will steal here again", you think
Congratulations!

You strip a young lady naked in broad daylight
Her offence? "She stole a Blackberry phone"
You take pictures of her nakedness, an insult to womanhood
I guess you not only feasted your eyes, you used your hands as well
"Nobody will steal phones here again", you conclude

Who are you to take a life you cannot create?
Who are you to untimely send someone to the great beyond?
When will you also kill off the other theives that abound in society?
When will you also take care of the thief in you?
You don't understand? Wait, you soon will

You go to work by 8.15am and write 7.45am in the register
Wait, you just stole 30 minutes of your employer's time
"Nonsense", you say. "I'm just being smart; I can't endanger my job"
Stealing is stealing, no matter the item that is stolen
You hypocrite, you are guilty and should also be killed

You are a student, and you cheat in the exam hall
You just stole some answers with that phone you smuggled into the hall
Now, remind me what the regulation says about exam malpractice
"Thank God I was not caught", you say
You are also a thief

You sell substandard products to your customer
You hike the price and still give him fake products

You sit in the office in that white-collar job of yours
And inflate contracts as well as demand kickbacks
Anybody that passes through your office must "see" you
That is not "hustling", you idiot
It is extortion, pure and simple

You sit in that lecturer's office of yours
And demand sex, money and so on in exchange for grades
You have to make money, in spite of the falling standard of education
Guess you've stolen some ladies' virginities as well
Yet you still wonder why you shouldn't also be killed

In our country, we have office-holders that earn ridiculous amounts of money
Some earn monthly what the average worker will never earn in his entire lifetime
"Cut down on those huge salaries", we demand
"No way, can't you see we're doing a great job for our nation", they reply
Yet they also follow us to search for the thieves

Look, they're on the streets, everybody out of the way
Fleets of cars, sirens and all manner of security
Stand in the way, and you'll be molested or crushed
The oppressor, oppressing the people with the people's money
Yet, they join to ask, "Where are the thieves"?

They steal billions while in office, yet the country declares them not guilty
Only the foreign courts can look them in the eye and say, "You stole"
Some even come back from prison and get a hero's welcome
"Wow!, stealing is a lucrative business; let me also try it" some young lads reason
Unfortunately, "luck" fails to smile on them; they are caught, maimed and killed

Next time we catch these young thieves again
Let us not be in a hurry to torture them to death
Let us first ask ourselves, "Have I not also stolen, and even recently
He that is without fault should cast the first stone
But, please, let us do the right thing and say NO to jungle justice

NB: While I don't support robbery, but they could have let the policy do there job, even the bible said there is a joy in heaven for a single soul that repent
